Separations
For a variety of reasons, many people choose to remain legally married but to live apart from each other. There are two ways that you can accomplish this legally. One way is to enter into a Separation Agreement, which is a comprehensive contract amicably addressing all the issues between you, such as custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, division of marital assets, etc. The second way is to file for a legal separation, which is a contested action, and have a Judge issue a Judgment of Separation.
